Link Crew Application

Link Leaders’ communication skills, leadership potential, responsibility, and personality have helped them succeed in the high school environment, and the lessons they have learned should be shared to help others succeed.

Link Leaders are trained to work with the incoming freshman class and other new students who enter CHS in the fall at our Bruin Beginnings New Student Orientation.  After training, Link Leaders run the orientation on the first day of school in August.  Each Link Leader is given a small group of freshmen to work with that day to show them around Capital and help make the first days of school an easier transition.

Additionally, Link Crew is offered as a Peer Mentoring class, where the Link Leaders will mentor and tutor students of all ages and participate in service-learning projects.  Link Leaders are actively involved with the school district and community. Through a special program with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Helena, Link Leaders offer mentoring to elementary school students during the school day. They also tutor elementary kids and present violence prevention topics to middle and high school students throughout the year.
