What:  To the candidates of the BRUIN FOOTBALL team:

BRUIN FOOTBALL represents a special opportunity for young men your age. Your BRUIN FOOTBALL experience will be only a brief moment in your life, so I encourage you to recognize it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity before it eludes you. The games you will play this year will be unforgiving in a sense that they will only be played once. The results of which will be directly related to the extent of your effort in preparation and commitment. Therefore, we as a coaching staff will demand a certain amount of sacrifice on your part. You must enter double sessions in peak shape! This can be achieved with our summer weight training program along with our dots and conditioning programs.

Football is an extraordinary sport requiring that each of its members function as a team. When you work with someone and depend on him, loyalty becomes essential. This means that the coaching staff will ALWAYS look after your best interests and treat you with respect. In return, we expect you to exhibit a genuine trust and concern for your teammates and coaches. No winning program can function without loyalty and a commitment to the team. Our concept of loyalty extends beyond individuals; it revolves around principles such as accepting and obeying training, school, and team rules. No team will become great with even a single dissident. Only complete loyalty to your team will enable us to maintain our championship football tradition. What we need from you now is to develop a championship desire and commitment to our team.

Good luck in your off-season training! I look forward to seeing you this summer in the weight room and dots program.

Committed to excellence,

Kyle Mihelish
