Tryout Meeting: Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 6:30 pm, Bill Roberts Golf Course for all students-athletes interested in trying out for golf. Interested golfers must have a current physical and concussion form in order to try out.
Tryouts/First Practices:
August 15 – 7:00 am – Bill Roberts
August 16 – 7:00 am – Green Meadow Country Club
Parent Meeting: TBD
Where: We practice at the various golf courses around town.
When: Our season begins in mid-August and ends in early October.
Who: Available to all CHS students 9-12. Must have completed physical. Potential team members must pass a golf rules and etiquette test as well as earn a spot on the team through a 36-hole qualifier. Must have your own equipment to try out. 10 boys and 10 girls will make up the Varsity and JV squads.
Golf at Capital High School is a competitive team sport.
Each athlete MUST have a completed physical form and signed concussion form before they can start practice. Bring the completed forms the first day. All required forms can be found on the Activities Home Page as well as the CHS Main Office. The cost is $90 for the first sport which includes the required activity ticket.
