Parents of all Capital High football players are encouraged to participate in the Westside Football Club to help support the team as they work for another state championship and raise money for football gear and equipment.
Tailgate BBQs: The biggest fundraiser is the Tailgate BBQ held before each home game from 5:30 – 6:30 or until it’s all gone. For $10 a plate, fans can buy a meal which includes a hamburger or hotdog, chips, salads, dessert and drink. Club members participate by cooking the food, bringing desserts and salads and helping serve. The BBQ is held near the bleachers on the home team side of Vigilante Stadium. Information will be provided as we get closer to the season. Any help you can offer either by bringing a salad or dessert or helping serve at any of the BBQs will be appreciated.
Quarterback Club: All football parents are also invited to attend the Quarterback Club; a weekly meeting led by Coach Mihelish and his staff. Join the group at the Lewis and Clark Brewery in the Power Room upstairs at 6:30pm every Tuesday for a recap of the game, complete with commentary and video clips of the varsity game. Join us for the insight into the previous week’s game and a preview of the upcoming game.
Committees: There are several committees that need volunteers. Please email westsidefootball@live.com if you would like to participate or would like to head one up. Committees include: Tuesday Chalk Talk Treats; Bus Treats; Stadium Flags, Signs, and Bears; Senior Night; Touch Down Club Fundraiser; Football Banquet Planning; Memory Book; Memory Video; Gifts/Seniors & Coaches; Gifts/Juniors; BruCru Club; and, Football Poster.
