There are 2 steps to creating your financial aid account.

1. Create a STUDENT AID ID

(both student and 1 parent will need to do this)

2. FIll out the FAFSA

The U.S. Department of Education has pushed back FAFSA enrollment to December 31st as the form undergoes significant changes.

Need more help with the FAFSA?  Text FAFSAHELP to 41411

If you are wanting to send a transcript to a college or university, we ask that you please create a Parchment account. We utilize this service to send free secure transcripts.

To Order Transcripts

If you are needing a copy of a transcript for a scholarship, car insurance, or for filling out applications, Ms. Aspen in the career center can print one out for you (so it doesn’t cost you money on Parchment)

Scholarships

Ms. Aspen in the career center is your CHS contact for scholarships.

She maintains a local scholarship list

There is also a good list of National Scholarship Search programs

The best advice is apply, apply, apply! We have many local scholarships that little to no students apply for. Even the small ones can add up. Don’t just go for the big full-ride ones.
