The major goal at this level is to offer students many personalized activities in speaking, listening, reading, and writing to allow them to gain confidence and higher levels of accuracy in each skill area.  Topics include daily routines, health, city life in Germany, professions, nature and the environment.  At this level grammatical exactness is stressed.  That means there is an ongoing review of previously studied grammar points as well as an introduction to passive and to subjunctive.
