7413 Marketing Management
Marketing Management is a course that will expand on the entrepreneurial and management requirements of a business owner. Becoming an entrepreneur, learning to work with other students, and making management decisions are taught in this course. Students will accomplish this by working together as a team of managers to operate and manage the Capital High School store, Bear Necessities. Bear Necessities is a school-based enterprise and retail training laboratory where students obtain skills and hands-on experience in areas such as financial analysis, human resource management, information management, professional development, strategic/channel management, pricing, selling, product/service management, and promotion. This class allows for opportunities in DECA, which plans and implements Night to Shine, an annual talent show. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Prerequisite(s): Small Business Management or instructor approval.
