8806 Core Curricular Lab

Core Curricular Lab  Grades 9-12

This course is for students who need specially designed instruction in the areas of study skills and organization.  In this course, students will work with the instructor to come up with self-advocacy, academic, and organizational goals for the year.  They will also have an opportunity to work with instructors on classroom assignments and projects, using the strategies they learn in class. The curriculum in this class is structured around transition, where students will complete interest surveys, inventories, and learning styles each year to plan for life after high school. These areas include Training, Education, Employment, and Independent Living Skills where appropriate for individual students.
