In Marketing Education 1, students will explore foundational marketing concepts and apply them to real-world scenarios. Topics covered include the marketing mix and marketing functions, market segmentation and targeting, SWOT analysis and business strategy, product life cycle, branding, promotion, selling, social media marketing, marketing information management and consumer behavior, distribution, pricing strategies, and economics. Through interactive projects and collaborative learning, students will develop practical skills in planning and executing marketing campaigns, analyzing market trends, and understanding the role of marketing in today’s economy. This course prepares students for advanced marketing studies and future career opportunities in business and marketing fields. This class allows for opportunities in DECA, which plans and implements Night to Shine, an annual talent show. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
