7220    Adv. Auto Tech 2 (NATEF)        Two Hours

This course is designed for the student who has an interest in an in-depth study of the automotive industry.  The course is divided into the following subject areas:  Basic Electricity, Starting Systems, Charging Systems, Computer Controls, OBD I and II, Fuel Systems and Ignition Systems, The class will be divided between the classroom and shop activities.  Approximately 50% of the class will be spent in the classroom and the other 50 % spent in the shop.  Students are encouraged to have a vehicle to work on but it is not a requirement for the class.  The cost of student projects will be covered by the student.  A student failing the 1^st semester will not continue to the 2^nd semester.

Materials Required:  Safety glasses.  Fees: $80.  Prerequisite(s):  Auto Skill Tech 1.
