Dear Students, Parents, & Guardians,

Welcome to the first day of online learning and content!  As this is a new experience for all of us, we will move slowly and steadily together.

The biggest announcement is that MHSA has postponed all events until at least April 13th.  This obviously will include District Music Festival.  At this time the other music teachers and myself are unsure if or when it will be rescheduled.  We will forward any information on as soon as we know more.

Below are access codes for Remind for students and parents.  Students if you are in multiple orchestras, please sign-up for each, as they will contain different messages and content.  I ask that all students sign-up at this time, and promise to keep notifications to a minimum!

On Thursday, I will be posting assignments for the next 2 weeks.  These assignments will include Listening and discussion of online performances, practice logs, musictheory.net assignments, and hopefully an online rehearsal.

    Coffee Fundraiser

    We are running a coffee fundraiser starting today and running through November 8, 2019.  Your student brought home a sales sheet yesterday.

     

    Below is the important information for the fundraiser:

    • Dates: 10/25/19 – 11/8/19
      • All forms and money due on the 8th
    • Order Received: 11/13/19-11/15/19
      • The coffee is from a local roaster and ships quickly
    • Cost: $12.00/per 12oz bag
    • Roast: Medium
    • Varieties: Ground, Whole Bean, Ground Decaf
    • Company: Rocky Mountain Roasters from Bozeman MT
    • Checks: Made out to CHS Orchestra and/or HHS Orchestra
    • Donations are welcome
    • Why: Funding for new shelving, school instrument repair/replacement, Bow repair/replacement, supplies, music, festivals, and travel

    As always, students are not required to participate in the fundraiser, all are encouraged to help.
