Ray Hunthausen Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship Application

The Ray Hunthausen Junior Golf Foundation $1,000 college scholarship was established to help high school seniors who will be continuing education beyond high school. This scholarship is not based on golf skill. The only criteria for applicants is involvement in golf in some manner: a player, member of a school golf team, participation in a junior golf program, employee in a pro shop, or work on the grounds crew at a golf course.

Weather permitting- we hope to start intramural basketball on Monday, April 8th.  Sign up information is on the counter at the front office.  We need sign up information returned by Wednesday, April 3rd (that is the first Wednesday after spring break).  Games will be Mondays and Tuesdays evenings- if spring activities can get outside to practice- that is they only way we will get the gym space.  Stop by the office and pick up the information!

Students interested in taking an Advanced Placement exam can now register in the office by submitting $94 per exam. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, March 20th. See Mr. Ferlicka if you have any questions.

Liz Burke from the National Forest service will be in Mrs. Urban’s room (233) at lunch today to talk about the Youth Forest Monitoring Program.  It is a summer internship where students get to work in the forest studying ecology, collecting data, and learning about a variety of natural resource careers.  See you at lunch!

2019 Milo Casagrande Scholarship Fund

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to receive a Milo Casagrande Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. This scholarship is being offered to all students. Preference will be given to current Montana Tow Truck Association (MTTA) members in good standing, their family members or their employees and their families. (i.e., spouse, child or grandchild)
2. You must be a high school senior graduating with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 and be accepted or enrolled in an accredited college or trade school, OR you must be enrolled in an accredited college or trade school and be maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
3. You must complete and submit this application as well as all required supporting documents below.
4. Recognizing the need for skilled professionals in the towing industry, preference will be given to those majoring in a trade school, auto or diesel mechanics, business, accounting, mechanical or electrical engineering.

Helena Kiwanis Club Key Club Scholarship

Key Club Scholarships Instructions:

  1. Complete all sections of the application as accurately as possible. Make sure that all signatures required for eligibility are included
  2. Only students who have been awarded a scholarship will receive notification
  3. Must be a college bound graduating high school student and a registered Key Club member
  4. All scholarships are provided as cash awards in the form of a check issued to the student
  5. The scholarship amount is $1,000
  6. Awards are disbursed at the May 6th club meeting honoring scholarship winners

Helena Kiwanis Club Weber Music Scholarship

Qualifications and criteria for all applicants:

  • Be a college bound graduating high school senior attending college during the fall 2019 semester.
  • Participated in at least one Helena High School or Capital High School Music Program.

Graduating Seniors

  • 1. Scholarship applications may be obtained from the school Career Center, Music Teachers, or by
    contacting the Helena Kiwanis Club at 406-442-8657.
  • 2. Follow the instructions outlined in the scholarship packet.
  • 3. One $1,000 scholarship each will be awarded at Capital High School and Helena High School.
  • 4. Mail the application, CD or DVD of your music selection, and letters of personal reference to the Helena
    Kiwanis Club.
  • 5. Application due date for the 2019 Helena Kiwanis Club Music Scholarships is April 12, 2019. The
    applications will be reviewed by a scholarship committee composed of Helena Kiwanis Club members.
