About our School:

Helena is the capital city of Montana. The school district serves approximately 48,000 people within the city, throughout the Helena valley, surrounding Lewis and Clark County, and northern Jefferson County. The public-school system has eleven elementary schools, two middle schools, and two comprehensive high schools and one alternative high school program that serves both high school populations.

Anyone interested in forming an eSports advisory committee, please sign up in the library this week.

If you are NOT submitting a personal photo to the yearbook and want to use your LifeTouch photo, make sure you go see Mrs. Selch or send an email to capitaldomeyearbook@gmail.com and let them know! We need to know your plan for your senior photo space. EVERY senior needs to take action and either submit their photo or state they want to use LifeTouch. Thank you!

Do you like to mock movies? Do you want to watch the cheesiest things you’ve ever seen? Come to the library at lunch on Wednesdays and enjoy Afterschool Specials from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s and other hilariously campy educational videos.

Today is trivia in the library! Gather your team and be sure to bring an adult to help you on our history of music day!

Juniors!  Registration for the PSAT is still open and runs through October 9th.  The fee is $16 and can be paid through the book keeper.  The PSAT is Wednesday, October 16th.  You will receive more details about the exam when you register.

If you are interested in playing boys basketball please plan on going to the fall informational meeting during lunch in Mr. LaRue’s room 221, on Wed. September 25th. You will get information about the open gym and tryout schedules.

The “Sun Run” 5k race will be held on Saturday, October 5th at Central School. It is a fundraiser to buy solar panels for the new elementary schools!  Green club will pay for entry for 10 CHS students!!!  If you are interested in running the race, see Mrs. Urban in room 233 by the end of the day Wednesday.

Niceness is Priceless will meet this WEDNESDAY during lunch in room 231.

Congrats to the Sophomore Class for winning the hall decorating.  Thanks to everyone for participating

Are you interested in health careers?  Join the HOSA club.  Meetings are Mondays in Mr. Duncan’s room 204.

Calling all juniors and seniors! A rep from University of Montana will be in the Career Center today. If you are thinking about becoming a future Griz, stop by to get information on everything from academics to financial aid and dorm life.

Do you like to produce videos, build websites or use Photoshop? Are you interested in desktop publishing, computer programming, keyboarding, math, finance or accounting? Do you like giving speeches or working in teams? If you answered “yes” to any of these, then BPA is the club for you!  Business Professionals of America will meet this Thursday at lunch in Room 213. Come get involved and find out what we’re all about!

The first, monthly student involvement meeting hosted by our School Board Student Rep, Zyanne Cervantes, will be held on Monday in the Choir room at lunchtime.  See you there!

COME AUDITION FOR THE CROSS-TOWN MUSICAL, THE MUSIC MAN! Auditions are Thursday, September 5th in the auditorium starting at 4:00. No experience? Nothing memorized? No problem! Come as you are, and we’ll be glad to have you! For questions, please see Ms. Brayko in room 113 or the auditorium.
