3140 Algebra 1-B

Algebra 1B is year-long course and a continuation of Algebra 1A. The course extends further upon algebraic concepts and skills and their applications.  Major topics covered include exponents and roots, polynomial operations, factoring, and an introduction to quadratic functions.  Successful completion of Algebra 1B is comparable to the second semester of Algebra 1.  Students who successfully complete Algebra 1B earn 1.0 math credit and will go on to take Geometry.

Prerequisites: Signature of current math teacher on registration form and successful completion of Algebra 1A or first semester of Algebra 1.
