EXPECTATION OF THE WEEK:

The FROSH and JV football teams are looking for 2 managers to help with practices and games.

Wrestling will be having Pre-Season conditioning and open mat Monday- Thursday at 6:00 am in the weight room or up in the wrestling room. Anyone interested can attend or contact Coach Mahana in room 10.

Business Professionals of America (BPA) meets this Thursday at lunch in Room 213. We’ll be discussing plans for the year, so please be sure to attend!

A representative from Gonzaga University will be here, tomorrow, September 12, at noon. Bring your lunch and join us in the Career Center to learn more!

October 3rd is the last day to purchase a yearbook for $70.  Price will increase to $75 on the 4th.  Senior Ads are due.  Purchase, then email photos or upload online via www.yearbookforever.com.  Senior photos are due also!  Email capitaldomeyearbook.com or pay using check or cash through the bookkeeper or Mrs. Selch in room 216

Did you know that today’s students will be expected to be comfortable with global communication and to create peace through intercultural understanding?  We have students taking that challenge on every summer by going to other countries. Take time to look at the display in the foyer.  For more information on capturing your world with cameras or on travel abroad see Mrs. Anderson in room 15.

Students, please purchase a parking permit if you have not.  Tickets will now be issued for vehicles without parking permits in the student lot.

The Queer Straight Alliance has their second meeting today! Come at lunch to Mrs. Cleveland’s room (room 123). See you then!

There will be a girls’ basketball meeting for anyone interested in playing basketball this winter. Come to room 3 at lunch on Friday for a meeting with Coach Garcin-Forba to hear important information regarding the upcoming season.

Spirit shirt submissions are due to room 124 by Thursday, September 13th. Your submission must capture Bruin spirit, and it can be drawn or computerized. Winner will get $200 and their design printed on shirts for purchase.

Homecoming week is underway!  Remember, if you want a chance to win prizes, send a picture of your outfit to the Student Council Instagram – capitalstuco. The Homecoming dance is Friday after the football game – buy tickets during lunch in the main foyer.”

The Homecoming football game theme is 80s! Wear your 80s clothes, and then come to the Homecoming Dance right after Friday, September 14th.  Tickets are 1 for $5 or 2 for $8 and will be sold during lunch all next week. Wednesday is tropical, Thursday is BrUSA (wear your red, white, and blue), and Friday is Bru-Out.”

NP Club introduced our Think Before You Post campaign during the class assemblies, NP club would like to remind you that when you are using social media you should think about how what you are posting will make others feel and consider not posting if it is going to be hurtful to others.  In addition, we are working on a series of videos surrounding the topics of cyber bullying, sexting, bullying, sexual harassment, sexual assault and unhealthy relationships.  If you have ever been the victim of one of these issues and if you feel comfortable sharing your story please see Mrs. Sieminski in room 231
