College app week has come and gone- thank you to Rebecca Troianos and the rest of the counseling staff for their efforts in promoting post-secondary opportunities.  Also, thank you to everyone who participated in the various activities this past week.

Congratulations to the following Great Ideas Grant recipients, once again sponsored by the HEF.  Well done!

The State Student Council Conference wrapped up last week here in Helena.  Taylee Schlauch and Hollee Goody put in a lot of time and preparation for this event.  I know that they appreciate all of you who housed students from across the state.

How about that volleyball team?  3rd place at state- congratulations!  Also, another fine season for the football team and Kyle Mihelish as they advance to the state semi-finals once again. In light of Veteran’s Day festivities, Karey Conn and DECA students partnered with elementary students to make blankets and present them to patients at Fort Harrison.  This activity, combined with the students highlighted last week for their efforts in Jim Weber’s class, are good examples of CHS giving back to those who served.

I hope that a lot of you made it to Fiddler on the Roof as it opened last week.  A big shout out to the efforts put forth by Laura Brayko, Zach Harris, and Thomas Baty.  Last evening, the ticket line stretched out past the front doors of the main foyer!  Don’t forget that there are more performances this week, be sure to catch one of them.  These students and educators have been practicing since early September for this grand performance!
